1. Sponsor. The sponsor of this PARR 2025 Deck Expo Events Giveaway (the "Promotion") is Parr Lumber Company, at 5630 NE Century Blvd., Hillsboro, OR 97124 ("Sponsor").
This Promotion is NOT sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram. You cannot enter through Facebook or Instagram but rather must enter as described below.
2. Timing.
a. Promotion Entry Periods. You may enter during any of our PARR 2025 Deck Expo Events, which are from 10 AM to 2 PM PT on April 12, 2025, at our Rochester store at 19523 Sargent Rd SW, Rochester, WA 98579; 10AM to 4PM PT on April 19, 2025, at our Damascus store at 19855 SE Sunnyside Rd, Damascus, OR 97089; 10 AM to 2 PM PT on May 10, 2025, at our Bend store at 1311 SE Wilson Ave, Bend, OR 97702; 10 AM to 2 PM PT on June 7, 2025, at our Spokane at 4111 E Francis Ave, Spokane, WA 99217; 10 AM to 2 PM PT on June 14, 2025, at our Hillsboro store at 7650 NE Wagon Dr, Hillsboro, OR 97124; 10 AM to 2 PM PT on June 28, 2025, at our West Linn store at 2351 SW Borland Rd, West Linn, OR 97068; 10 AM to 2 PM PT on July 12, 2025, at our Bothell store at 17617 15th Ave SE, Bothell, WA 98012; 10 AM to 2 PM PT on July 26, 2025, at our Ridgefield store at 1111 S Timm Rd, Ridgefield, WA 98642. Alternatively, you may enter via the other entry means described in Section 4 below; please see additional information regarding the entry window in Section 4.
You must enter the Promotion at the Deck Expo Event on one of the days and locations listed above, unless you enter via the alternative means of entry described below. You can only enter the Promotion one time, even if you attend more than one Deck Expo Event at more than one location. Sponsor's computer is the official time-keeping device for the Promotion.
b. Drawing(s). There will be two potential winners randomly drawn at the end of each Deck Expo Event. You do not have to be present to win. If you do not win a drawing for a given Deck Expo Event, your entry will not be carried forward to the next Deck Expo Event, and you may not enter another 2025 Deck Expo Event. See below regarding winner notification and prize pickup.
3. Eligibility Requirements. This Promotion is open only to legal residents of Oregon and Washington, USA who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry and who can provide proof of Oregon or Washington residency and age. Residents of any location other than Oregon or Washington, USA are excluded from this Promotion. Past and present employees, officers, directors, agents, and independent contractors of Sponsor and any of its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, prize suppliers, or other companies involved in the development or administration of this Promotion, as well as the immediate family members (spouse, parents, siblings, and children and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and household members (whether or not related) of such employees, officers, directors, agents, and independent contractors are not eligible to enter or win this Promotion. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This Promotion is void where prohibited by law. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any participant that Sponsor determines, in its sole discretion, is ineligible to participate in the Promotion.
4. How to Enter. To enter, attend a PARR 2025 Deck Expo Event on one of the dates listed in Section 2(a) above, and either use the QR codes shown at the event or use one of Sponsor's tablets located at the event to submit an entry form during the event. Event entry is free. You will be required to provide your first and last name and email address. You entry will be eligible only for the specific Deck Expo Event at which you enter.
ALTERNATIVE MEANS OF ENTRY THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE EVENT ATTENDANCE: If you do not want to attend a Deck Expo Event, you may enter the Promotion by emailing your email address, first and last name, mailing address, AND a request to be entered into the Promotion to Sponsor at Marketing@parr.com Attention: Marketing Department, during the Promotion Entry Period described above. All emailed-in entries must be received by Sponsor no later than the end of the last Deck Expo Event, which is 2 PM on July 26, 2025. If you enter via this method, your entry will be eligible only for the specific Deck Expo Event drawing that occurs after your entry is received. Entering at one of the Deck Expo Events will not increase your chances of winning, and if you enter via email through this alternative means of entry instead, your odds of winning will be the same as if you enter by attending the event and the method above. If you choose to enter via this method, please indicate if you would like to be added to Sponsor's mailing list to receive future marketing emails.
Information for All Entries (event attendees and non-event attendees):
Limit: The Promotion is limited to one entry per person and per household. Even if you do not win at a given Deck Expo Event, your entry will not be carried forward to the next 2025 Deck Expo Event, and you may not enter another 2025 Deck Expo Event. Any attempt by a participant to enter the Promotion more than once by using multiple/different email addresses or identities or any other method will disqualify that participant. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification. Sponsor has no obligation to notify the participant of the disqualified entry.
In the event of a dispute as to the person associated with any entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed the participant. With respect to email addresses, the "authorized account holder" is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder.
All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor will not verify receipt of entries, and proof of submission will not be deemed proof of receipt by Sponsor. Entries are automatically null and void if not obtained through the authorized channels or if any part is late, lost, stolen, incomplete, illegible, unintelligible, invalid, damaged, misdirected, or contains typographical or other errors. Sponsor is not responsible or liable in any way for such entries or errors. Sponsor has no obligation to notify the participant of the disqualified entry.
5. Winner Selection and Notification.
a. Winner Selection. There will be two (2) prize winners for each Deck Expo Event described above. Two entries will be selected via random drawing at the end of each Deck Expo Event. See below for the prize awarded to the first selected entrant and the prize awarded to the second selected entrant. There will be a total of sixteen (16) winners of the Promotion, but there will only be two winners for each Deck Expo Event.
b. Winner Notification and Announcement. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. Each potential winner will be notified by email within 7 days after being selected. Once a potential winner is contacted by Sponsor, he or she will have thirty (30) business days from the time Sponsor sends the message, to respond and claim the prize (and provide requested information (which could include proof of age and proof of residency). If the applicable potential winner does not respond within the time frame outlined above, or if the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited without notice to the potential winner, and the prize may be given to an alternate winner, selected via random drawing from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Entry Period for the applicable Deck Expo Event, at Sponsor's discretion.
REPLYING TO THE PRIZE NOTIFICATION WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY MAKE A POTENTIAL WINNER AN ACTUAL PRIZE WINNER. THE POTENTIAL WINNERS MUST MEET ALL ELIGIBLY REQUIREMENTS AND OTHERWISE COMPLY WITH THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
The winners might, in Sponsor's discretion, be announced on Sponsor's Facebook and Instagram pages, Sponsor's website and other social media platforms, and in Sponsor's newsletter and other marketing materials, but this is not how the potential winners will be notified. See additional information in the Publicity Release section regarding Sponsor's use of the winners' information for publicity purposes.
6. Odds of Winning. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for the applicable Deck Expo Event drawing.
7. Prizes and Prize Value. (i) The first selected winner of each Deck Expo Event drawing will receive one Yeti® bucket (approx. retail value ("ARV"): $150.00) filled with items from our attending vendors. The total ARV of all elements of this prize combined is no less than $175.00. (ii) The second selected winner of each Deck Expo Event drawing will receive one (1) PIT BOSS® Competition Series 1250 wood pellet grill (ARV: $799.98). Yeti Coolers and PIT BOSS are not affiliated with Parr Lumber and are not sponsors of this Promotion.
a. TAXES; TAX FORM 1099 MISC. Each winner is solely responsible for reporting and paying any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes associated with acceptance and use of the prize won. THE U.S. INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE REQUIRES A FORM 1099 MISC TO BE ISSUED TO AND FILED BY ANY PRIZE WINNER IF THE VALUE OF THE PRIZE RECEIVED IS USD 600 OR MORE. SPONSOR WILL ISSUE A FORM 1099 MISC TO THE PRIZE WINNERS WHO WIN THE YETI BUCKET AND OTHER ITEMS FOR THE VALUE OF THE PRIZE WON, AND THOSE PRIZE WINNERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR FILING THIS COMPLETED FORM WITH THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE.
b. Prize Delivery: Once Sponsor has determined that a given winner meets all eligibility and other requirements in these Official Rules, Sponsor will coordinate prize pick-up or delivery with that winner directly. If the applicable winner is present when the winner is chosen, the winner must take the prize at that time. If the applicable winner is not present when the winner is chosen and if Sponsor chooses to ship the prize to the winner, the prize will be deemed delivered to the winner once Sponsor delivers the prize to the U.S. Postal Service or other common carrier of Sponsor's choosing. Sponsor will not be responsible or liable for a lost, stolen, or damaged prize once mailed by Sponsor to the address provided by the winner or once delivered to the U.S. Postal Service or other common carrier, or for any loss or damages relating to delivery, use, or misuse of the prize. A winner might be required to travel to claim the prize, and, in such event, the winner will be responsible for the cost of travel to claim the prize. By participating, each winner waives the right to claim as a cost of winning the prize, the cost of travel required to claim or use the prize.
c. Prize Conditions: All expenses and items not specifically mentioned in these Official Rules are not included and are each winner's sole responsibility. The prizes may not be exchanged for cash value or otherwise, and the prizes are non-refundable. No transfer, substitution, or assignment of the prizes by the winners is permitted. The prizes are subject to availability and substitution by Sponsor, in whole or in part, with prizes of equal or greater retail value if the prizes are unavailable or cannot be awarded for any reason, in Sponsor's sole discretion. The ARV of each prize set forth above represents Sponsor's good faith determination of the verifiable retail value thereof and cannot be challenged or appealed. The actual value may vary based on retail value or expected retail value at the start of the Promotion. In the event the ARV of a prize is more than the actual retail value of that prize, the difference will not be awarded in cash or otherwise. All prize details not set forth in these Official Rules are at the sole discretion of Sponsor.
IMPORTANT: Sponsor makes no representation, warranty, or guarantee in whole or in part, express or implied, in fact or in law, in relation to the prizes and/or the use of the prizes. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing sentence, Sponsor expressly disclaims any and all representations, warranties, and guarantees regarding the prizes, including without limitation, those regarding the appearance, safety, quality, performance, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and/or suitability for use of the prizes, and/or non-infringement of third-party rights, and/or title. Sponsor expressly disclaims any and all responsibility and liability for injury, death, and/or loss to any person or property relating to the delivery, possession, use, and/or misuse of the prizes, including without limitation with respect to travel required to claim the prizes. Any maintenance or warranties shall be limited solely to those provided by the manufacturer of the applicable prize, if any; and acceptance of a prize constitutes that winner's release of Sponsor for maintenance and/or repair of the prize. Additional restrictions, conditions, disclaimers, and limitations regarding the prizes might apply and will accompany the prizes.
8. Publicity Release. Unless prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize shall constitute and signify that winner's agreement and consent that Sponsor, and third parties on Sponsor's behalf, may use the winner's name, city and state of residence, biographical data, voice, statements, image, likeness, and/or prize won (collectively the winner's "Name and Likeness") in connection with the Promotion and/or for other marketing and promotional purposes and for any other business purpose, in any media, now known or hereafter developed, throughout the world, including on the Internet (including, but not limited to, on Sponsor's website at https://parr.com/, on Sponsor's social media pages and accounts, in Sponsor's email newsletter, and on other Sponsor and/or third party websites), without providing additional notice, consent, review opportunity, or consideration to the applicable winner and without restriction as to the frequency of use. Each winner agrees that Sponsor (and third parties on Sponsor's behalf) have the unrestricted, perpetual, and worldwide right to reproduce, copy, exhibit, display, perform, transmit, broadcast, distribute, modify, create derivatives of, and otherwise use the winner's Name and Likeness. Each winner agrees that Sponsor may alter the winner's Name and Likeness and may combine the winner's Name and Likeness with other materials and information (including without limitation, text, data, images, photographs, illustrations, animation and graphics, and/or video or audio segments of any nature, in any media or embodiment, now known or hereafter developed). Sponsor is not responsible or liable for any use of a winner's Name and Likeness by a third party as a result of Sponsor's use of or posting of the winner's Name and Likeness on a social media platform or other website or elsewhere. Each winner agrees that, if requested by Sponsor, he or she will execute other agreements to enable Sponsor to pursue and protect its rights hereunder. Each winner accepts and acknowledges that Sponsor is not obligated to use the winner's Name and Likeness, and Sponsor will not incur any liability whatsoever to the extent Sponsor chooses to refrain from any exploitation of its rights hereunder.
9. Privacy. All participants acknowledge that if they are a winner, certain of their personal information might be disclosed to third parties, such as on a winners' list and in accordance with the Publicity Release section above. Except as otherwise set forth in these Official Rules, personal information collected from participants will be used to administer the Promotion and is subject to Sponsor's Privacy Policy located at https://parr.com/general/privacy/ . Please review this Privacy Policy prior to entering the Promotion. When you enter the Promotion, you might be asked to consent to receive future promotional emails about Sponsor's products, services, offers, and events. Consenting to receive such emails is optional, does not have to be agreed to in order to enter the Promotion, and does not improve your chances of winning. If you enter via the alternative means of entry, please indicate whether you would like to receive our promotional emails.
10. Release. By participating in this Promotion, you (all participants) (i) agree to release (a) Facebook; (b) Instagram; and (c) Sponsor and its affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and each such company's officers, directors, employees, agents, and independent contractors (collectively, the "Releasees") from any and all liability for any and all claims, losses, damages, injuries, death, damage to or loss of personal property, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) of any kind arising out of or relating to your participation in this Promotion; your acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of your prize and/or use and/or misuse of the prize by any other party once received by you (including without limitation any travel or activity related thereto); and/or the Releasees' use of your Name and Likeness (including without limitation liability from and claims for personal injury, damages, death, monetary loss, libel, defamation, invasion of privacy or right of publicity, infringement of copyright, or violation of any other right); and (ii) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from and against any and all third-party claims, losses, damages, liabilities, injuries, death, damage to or loss of personal property, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) of any kind arising out of or relating to your participation in this Promotion; your acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of your prize and/or use and/or misuse of the prize by any other party once received by you (including without limitation any travel or activity related thereto); and/or the Releasees' use of your Name and Likeness (including without limitation liability from and claims for personal injury, damages, death, monetary loss, libel, defamation, invasion of privacy or right of publicity, infringement of copyright, or violation of any other right); and (iii) acknowledge and agree that the Releasees have not made—and are not responsible or liable for—any guarantees, warranties, or representations, express or implied, regarding the prize. The prizes must be accepted as awarded, and the prizes are awarded "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" with no guarantee, warranty, or representation, express or implied, in fact or in law. See additional disclaimers in Section 7(c).
11. Limitations of Liability. Releasees are not responsible for (and have no obligation to notify participants of): (i) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by participants, printing or typographical errors, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including without limitation malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines, network availability, server or other connections, hardware or software, or other equipment; or other disruption related to Internet traffic, viruses, or otherwise; (iii) forces beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor that might cause the Promotion to be disrupted or corrupted; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the operation of the Promotion; (v) technical or human error that may occur in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries; (vi) late, lost, incomplete, inaccurate, misdirected, illegible or unintelligible, undeliverable, damaged, or stolen entries or correspondence; or (vii) any injury, death, or damage to persons or property that may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from a participant's participation in the Promotion; receipt, possession, use, or misuse of a prize and/or use and/or misuse of a prize by any other party once received by the applicable winner (including without limitation any travel or activity related thereto); or use of the participants' and/or a winner's Name and Likeness. If, for any reason, a participant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, stolen, misdirected, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, participant's sole remedy is another entry in the Promotion, if it is possible at that time.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction for Disputes; No Class Actions; Additional Limitations of Liability. Unless prohibited by applicable law, participants agrees that: (i) these Official Rules, and the rights and obligations of the participants and Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Oregon without giving effect to any conflict-of-law rule that would result in the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction; (ii) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (iii) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved exclusively by courts located in Washington County or Multnomah County, Oregon; and participants submit to (and waive any objections to) the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in the Washington County or Multnomah County, Oregon for any and all causes of action relating to this Agreement; (iv) regardless of any statute or law to the contrary, you must file any claim or cause of action against Releasees arising out of or relating to this Promotion or your acceptance, receipt, use, or misuse of a prize within one year after such claim or cause of action arose, or forever be barred; (v) any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to the greater of (a) the actual out-of-pocket costs incurred by the applicable participant relating to the Promotion, including costs associated with entering the Promotion and claiming a prize (if any); or (b) USD 25.00 (twenty five U.S. dollars); but in no event will any participant be awarded attorneys' fees; (vi) under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for—and participants hereby waive all rights to claim—indirect, punitive, special, exemplary, incidental, and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses incurred or USD 25.00; and (vii) under no circumstances will participants be permitted to obtain awards for, and participants hereby waive, all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.
NOTICE: SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES OR THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN IMPLIED WARRANTIES. THE LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS IN THIS SECTION 12, IN SECTIONS 10 AND 11, AND ELSEWHERE IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES MIGHT NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. General. Unless required by law, Sponsor is not required to review or respond to any correspondence received from a participant regarding this Promotion. If any provision of these Official Rules is held invalid or unenforceable under applicable law, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid and enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision, and the remainder of these Official Rules will continue in full force and effect. Sponsor's failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of such term on another occasion or any other term. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Promotion, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Promotion, or if the Promotion is not capable of being executed as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If the Promotion is terminated before the end of the Promotion Period, Sponsor may, in its discretion, randomly select winners from all eligible entries received as of the termination date. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who Sponsor finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules or in a disruptive manner.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DEFRAUD SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE PROMOTION, TO DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE, OR TO OTHERWISE DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION, MIGHT BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SUBJECT TO CRIMINAL AND CIVIL PENALTIES. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR WILL DISQUALIFY ANY SUCH PERSON FROM THE PROMOTION, WITHOUT NOTICE TO SUCH PERSON; AND SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND TO COOPERATE IN THE PROSECUTION OF ANY SUCH CONDUCT.
14. Rules/Winners' Names. To request an additional copy of these Official Rules or the winners' names, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, specifying your request to PARR Lumber Company, at 5630 NE Century Blvd., Hillsboro, OR 97124. The names of the winners of each Deck Expo Event drawing will be available thirty (30) days after each such event.
