Our Story

Founded in 1930 in Vancouver, Washington, PARR Lumber Company began with a simple but determined vision: to support builders and homeowners with integrity, expertise, and genuine care. Our founder, Dwight Parr Sr., opened the first lumberyard amid the Great Depression, at a time when resilience, ingenuity, and community mattered more than ever.

What began as one lumberyard has grown into one of the Pacific Northwest’s most trusted building supply partners. Today, PARR serves Oregon, Washington, and North Idaho through 5 divisions, across nearly 50 locations, with a team of professionals who take pride in showing up, solving problems, and helping bring your projects to life.

Our complementary divisions now include PARR Lumber, PARR Truss, PARR Door-Millwork, PARR Design Center, and PARR Windows.

We have never forgotten where we came from or who we’re here for. We’re here for our neighbors, our builders, and our communities. We’re here for the Pacific Northwest.
