PARR LUMBER CO. ANNOUNCES ITS NEWEST LUMBER YARD IN ROCHESTER, WA.

PARR Acquires Rochester True Value Hardware & Lumber

HILLSBORO, Ore. (Aug. 23, 2024) – PARR, one of the largest building-material suppliers in the nation, today announced the acquisition of Rochester True Value Hardware & Lumber in Rochester, Washington, which will be its 25th lumber yard.

Located on seven acres just off of I-5, PARR Lumber Rochester will service a broad area that includes Olympia and Centralia. PARR will retain eight mostly long-tenured team members as part of the acquisition.

The location was founded in 1972 and expanded in 1992 to include a hardware store. Four of the seven acres are in use, leaving room for expansion. As part of the acquisition, PARR plans to implement its customer-focused sales model, improve delivery services, automate purchasing and inventory processes, and increase offerings.

“We are committed to providing our customers with everything they need for their build projects throughout the Pacific Northwest without compromising our legendary service through teamwork,” said Mike Howell, CEO PARR. “When this opportunity came along, we were excited as it fills a need to better support the South Puget Sound market. Plus, the fact that it’s a second-generation, family-owned business resonated with us.”

PARR has grown considerably from its start as a single lumberyard to one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected brands. Since its inception in 1930, PARR has expanded its supplies and solutions beyond lumber to supplying builders with everything they need through five different divisions across 47 locations: PARR Lumber, PARR Design Centers, PARR Windows, PARR Door & Millwork and PARR Truss.
