It’s not every day that a hot air balloon drops by the lumber yard.

The team at PARR Lumber Newberg had an unforgettable experience when a hot air balloon made an unexpected emergency landing at the location. The moment was captured on camera as PARR employees quickly jumped into action to help guide the balloon and its passengers safely to the ground.

PARR Lumber Newberg Team Helps Land Balloon

As the balloon descended toward the yard, team members rushed over to assist, helping steer the aircraft away from stacks of lumber, pallets, and other building materials. Working together, the crew helped create a safe landing area and assisted the unexpected visitors as they touched down.

Thanks to the quick response and teamwork from everyone involved, the balloon landed safely, and no injuries were reported.

While PARR team members are used to helping customers solve challenges every day, this was certainly a first! The event was a great reminder that legendary service through teamwork can come in all forms and situations — even one floating in from above.
