At PARR Lumber Damascus, being a Total Home Building Source means more than supplying materials—it means showing up for our community when it matters most.
After recent flooding in Clackamas County, a Vietnam veteran in Happy Valley faced losing his home due to extensive damage and rising repair costs. What started as a difficult situation quickly became a coordinated community effort to restore the property and prevent eviction.
The City of Happy Valley, including Mayor Tom Ellis, partnered with Team Rubicon to lead the project. Their goal was clear: bring the home back up to safe living standards and help the homeowner remain in place.
PARR Lumber Damascus supported the effort by donating essential building materials, including siding and exterior supplies, to ensure repairs could move forward quickly and efficiently. With those materials, volunteers removed flood-damaged siding, installed new products, and repainted the home—restoring both its structure and appearance.
Thanks to the combined effort of local leadership, nonprofit volunteers, and community partners, the homeowner is now able to safely remain in his home.
