Duties and Responsibilities

  • Aggressively set, reach for and meet (or exceed) personal sales and profit goals
  • Key player in the maintenance of assigned accounts — ensuring account profitability as well as customer satisfaction and loyalty
  • Aggressive prospecting for new sales and new accounts
  • Ability to sell on overall quality and service, rather than price
  • Coordinate with other division sales managers and salespeople to broaden sales to existing customers
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers
  • Precisely and efficiently manage one’s time and appointments
  • Use, promote and maintain P.A.R.R. Sales System tools and requirements
  • Be involved & prepared for weekly individual and group sales meetings
  • Respond quickly to customer complaints and concerns
  • Continually update product knowledge and selling techniques
  • Assist walk-in customers at point-of-sale, as needed


  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Prior experience in cabinets sales is required
  • Prior experience with contractors sales of cabinets preferred but not mandatory
  • Class C Driver’s License

  • Knowledge of cabinets and design principles
  • Working knowledge of 20/20 design software
  • Ability to achieve aggressive sales goals and objectives

  • Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of PLC selling principles, practices and protocols
  • Knowledge of PLC purchasing principles, practices and protocols
  • Ability to aggressively pursue company’s best interest when selling to customers
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and experience dealing with customers required
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to daily changing needs/demands of PLC and PLC’s customers
  • Ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities
  • Must be flexible to different personality types and work habits, knowing that goals may be achieved in different ways
  • Must be tolerant of co-workers, knowing that honest mistakes will be made
  • Ability to concentrate and attend to detail amidst a busy office environment
  • Willingness to share department responsibilities in order to meet deadlines
  • Working knowledge of personal computers & applications
  • Keyboarding at minimum of 30 wpm required
  • Basic understanding of cabinet installation
  • Ability to mark out cabinet layouts on construction sites
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work outdoors and be mobile for the greater part of the day
  • Ability to stoop, bend, walk, and effectively communicate at levels normal for someone performing work with the general public primarily in the office environment of a customer or job site. Communication forms can include but are not limited to: in-person verbal and non-verbal, written, e-mail, telephone and public speaking to medium size groups.
