Portland Fall Home & Garden Show

Parr Will Be Serving Up Style at the Home Show

The Portland Fall Home and Garden Show will take place October 2-5, 2014 at the Portland Expo Center. Come see us at the Serving Up Style exhibit. General admission is $10 (free for children 12 and under). However, you can print the coupon below for $2 off. The coupon is good only for Thursday and Friday. Admission does not include parking, but parking is free after 4pm on Thursday and Friday.

2014 Street of Dreams | Happy Valley, Oregon

Win Tickets to the Street of Dreams

The 2014 Street of Dreams will open this Saturday (July 26th) in Happy Valley, Oregon. This year’s event features five gorgeous homes. Each home is unique, from traditional, to craftsman, to Mediterranean and Asian inspired. The home prices range from $850,000 to $1.5 million. The event is open daily from 10am to 9pm (tickets sold until 7:30 pm). The last day of the show is Sunday, August 24th. Admission to the Street of Dreams is $15 for adults. Parr Lumber book drive for the Children's Book Bank

Parr Lumber is Hosting a Book Drive

A child from a low-income family enters first grade with an average of only 25 hours of one-to-one picture book reading. Compare this with 1,000 to 1,700 hours for a child from a typical middle-class home. That’s why from now until August 30th, Parr Lumber is collecting used and new books at our Portland metro area stores (see list below). The books will be given to the Children’s Book Bank. The donated books will then be distributed to children whom normally cannot afford books.
