It’s Earth Day. Today there are events all around the world focusing on our planet and how to be more green. We all need to do our part to help preserve our environment for our children and their kids. Being the outstanding person you are, we at Parr know that you also want to help save the Earth for future generations. One way you can help is by looking for green labels and certifications. There are no such things as Earth Day labels, but there are many eco-friendly products with labels or certifications for Energy Star, Greenguard, Green Seal, SCS, SFI, and EPA WaterSense.

Residential Construction Spending Increased by 2.2% in February
Good news! Private residential construction spending increased by 2.2% in February (compared to January). It’s not a big gain, but according to Eye on Housing, residential construction activity is more than 20% above its year-ago level and about 36% higher than the cyclical low in mid-2011.
